Remote-controlled flail mowers · Australia

Remote Control Mowers Built for Australia's Toughest Terrain.

Goat Mowers makes remote control mowers for Australian slopes, acreage and commercial mowing. Our flail models tackle heavy grass and scrub from a distance, while the compact Pygmy handles regular grass on lifestyle blocks. Current models are operator-controlled, so you stay in charge of the job.

The problem

Ride-ons weren't built for terrain like this.

Every year in Australia, ride-on mower rollovers cause serious injury and death. Most modern ride-ons aren't rated above 15° of slope. Zero-turns are even worse - designed for flat lawns, dangerous on anything else.

If you own acreage with embankments, dams, drainage easements, or genuinely steep paddocks, you have two options: get off the machine and use a brushcutter, or let the country reclaim it.

Goat Mowers is option three. Tracked, low-slung, remote-controlled flail mowers that work where you shouldn't. You stand somewhere safe and watch them eat through what your ride-on couldn't touch.

Choosing the right approach

Searching for a robot mower for acreage?

Consumer robot mowers are generally made for regularly maintained lawns with defined boundaries. On Australian acreage with slopes, long grass or scrub, a remote control flail mower gives you direct control and the cutting capacity for tougher work today.

Goat is developing an autonomous mower line. Until it launches, our current range remains operator-controlled so the person assessing the ground stays in control of the machine.

Why Goat Mowers

No tractor showroom energy.

We sell three machines, well. Local stock, local support, and the kind of advice that comes from people who've actually mowed a 40° slope in an Akubra.

01

Stock held in Australia.

Brisbane and Melbourne warehouses. Real freight quotes to your postcode, not 'POA, contact us.'

02

Three tiers, no upsell.

If a Pygmy will do the job, we'll tell you. If you really need a Markhor, we'll tell you that too. Quote-first means we have a conversation before you buy.

03

Parts and support after the sale.

Spare flail blades, drive belts, replacement remotes - held locally, dispatched same day where possible.

04

Talk to a human first.

Every order starts with a quote and a conversation about your land. We're not here to push the most expensive machine - we're here to put the right one on your property.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you enquire.

What is a remote control mower?

A remote control mower is a machine you operate from a separate position using a handheld remote rather than riding on it. Goat's current range includes a compact lawn mower and heavier flail models for Australian acreage, slopes and commercial terrain. The operator remains responsible for assessing the ground and controlling the machine.

What's the difference between a flail mower and a normal mower?

A flail mower uses multiple free-swinging blades to strike and mulch material, while a typical lawn mower uses a fixed rotary blade. Flails suit tougher grass, weeds and scrub because they can handle uneven ground and heavier growth. The right choice still depends on the vegetation, terrain and finish you need.

Can a robot mower handle acreage?

Consumer robot mowers are generally designed for regularly maintained lawns with defined boundaries. For Australian acreage with slopes, long grass or scrub, a remote-controlled mower gives an operator direct control and more cutting capacity today. Goat is developing an autonomous range, but current Goat machines are operator-controlled remote mowers.

How steep a slope can a remote control mower handle?

Slope capacity depends on the mower model, ground conditions, vegetation and how the machine is operated. Goat's current Pygmy and Ibex models are specified for slopes up to 45°, while the Markhor is specified up to 55°. Always assess the site and follow the machine's operating guidance before mowing.

How much does a remote control mower cost in Australia?

Remote control mower pricing varies with the model, cutting deck or attachment configuration, freight and the work you need it to do. Goat Mowers can recommend a suitable model and provide current pricing after learning about your terrain, vegetation and access. Request a quote for a practical recommendation rather than choosing on price alone.

Do you deliver Australia-wide?

Yes. Goat Mowers arranges delivery across Australia. Freight requirements and costs vary with the mower, the destination and the access available at your property or depot. Tell us your postcode and preferred model in a quote request and we can provide the relevant delivery information.
